What you'll be doing day to day

1. Shape and build: develop and implement BD processes and systems
2. Influence and impact: drive relationship-building strategies and make a significant impact on new and existing opportunities
3. Collaborate and connect: work with audit, business advisory, tax and corporate finance experts to identify new opportunities
4. Manage pipeline: oversee the business development pipeline and qualify leads
5. Run campaigns: execute BD and sector campaigns to secure meetings with prospects
6. Client stewardship: oversee a portfolio of key clients, ensuring their needs are met and relationships are strong
7. Train and mentor: develop individual career paths within your team of four BD/marketing executives, fostering professional growth and advancement. Provide training, coaching and mentorship to enhance colleagues' skills
8. Craft proposals: develop compelling proposals and impactful pitch presentations. Influence pricing and propositions
9. CRM management: use the CRM system to update contact details, track activities and report successes
10. Chair meetings: lead business development meetings with multidisciplinary teams
11. Network: attend external events and represent the firm

About you

12. You’ll have considerable experience in business development with a portion of time spent in the professional services industry
13. Possess exceptional communication and influencing skills
14. Have the ability to connect quickly, coach teams and network effectively
15. Possess strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing people
16. Be confident in building relationships
17. Have the ability to juggle multiple tasks and perform well under pressure
18. Be keen to work in a collaborative environment
19. Have a full driving licence and own transport
