Key Responsibilities: Review and finalise completion accounts, determine final payments, and continuously monitor and calculate forecasted contingent payments. Oversee the external audit process for acquired entities, ensuring the high-quality preparation and timely submission of audited financial statements. Prepare and submit financial reports to regulators for regulated entities within the group. Perform month-end reconciliations and journal postings for acquired entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Support the group consolidation process, assist with statutory accounting, and contribute to other group financial reporting requirements. Provide key financial data and insights to support corporation tax reporting and compliance. Assist with the group’s external audit process, collaborating with auditors to provide required documentation and support. Aid in integrating the finance functions of newly acquired companies into the group’s existing processes and systems. Identify, document, and implement opportunities for process improvements within the finance team’s systems and controls. Qualifications and Experience: Must be qualified (ACA/ACCA) with experience from a reputable accounting firm. Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP, ideally within an accounting firm. Experience supporting audit processes and preparing management accounts. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102, with a solid understanding of UK financial reporting requirements. Proven experience in consolidations and accounting for acquisitions. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
