Specialist Pharmacy Technician - Clinical Trials

Join our Pharmacy Clinical Trials Team, where we are dedicated to supporting Sheffield Children's rapidly expanding Research and Innovation Clinical Trials portfolio!
You will help deliver high-quality pharmacy services for clinical trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs), working with multidisciplinary teams across the Trust.
About You:
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Relevant dispensary experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally with exposure to clinical trials or investigational medicinal products.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Senior Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Contribute to the daily delivery of the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Service, ensuring safe dispensing of clinical trial medications in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), operating within the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Dispensary and Pharmacy Aseptic Unit.
Collaborate with research staff, clinical trial investigators, and sponsors during the set-up and ongoing maintenance of clinical trials.
Work as an accredited checking technician to maintain standards of accuracy and safety.

Please note that Sheffield Children's uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent
* NVQ A1 assessor
* Good Clinical Practice training or willing to undertake.
Experience
* Dispensary experience as pharmacy technician
* Experience of managing own time and workload
* Experience of clinical trials and IMP
* Experience in supervising other technicians and support staff
Knowledge
* Good communications skills
* Knowledge of legislation surrounding clinical trials
