The Role
We’re hiring a hands-on, data-driven Trade Marketing Manager to own our UK channel strategy end-to-end. You’ll be the vital link between brand vision and field execution—delivering retailer incentives, promotional rollouts, POS deployment and frontline training. If you’re energized by store floors, not just slide decks, and eager to fuse commercial rigor with AI-powered efficiency, this is your role.
Job Responsibility:
• Trade Strategy: Architect retailer incentive programmes—device rebates, quarterly Pod targets, ranking bonuses—and engineer high-converting in-store activations
• Promotional Calendar: Command the annual and quarterly promo roadmap (Launch Days, seasonal and holiday pushes), locking in seamless online-to-offline alignment with Brand
• POS & Visual Merchandising: Run the full lifecycle of terminal materials (demo units, fixtures, POSM)—from procurement through distribution to recovery. Hard target: ≥95% in-store compliance
• Capability Building: Craft training curricula and toolkits for shop staff and owners (Demo SOPs, product deep-dives), plus sales enablement packs for Field Sales
• Performance Analytics: Construct AI-driven KPI Dashboards tracking device activation, repeat purchase and inventory turnover; translate EPOS data into sharp Trade ROI insights
• Field Force Enablement: Arm Field Sales with battle-ready assets—talk tracks, FAQs, promotional leaflets—for their channel account calls
• Inventory & Supply: Co-pilot with Supply Chain on safety-stock levels, replenishment rhythms and new-product launch distribution plans
• AI Innovation: Deploy artificial intelligence across promo ROI forecasting, automated content generation, smart replenishment alerts and competitive monitoring
Job Requirements:
• 7–12 years total experience, including 3–5 years in UK Trade or Channel Marketing within Tobacco, Vape or FMCG, gained predominantly in the field
• Analytical edge: Fluent in EPOS interrogation, Dashboard construction and Trade ROI measurement
• AI proficiency: Adept at leveraging AI tools for data analysis and content creation; actively embedding AI into daily workflows
• Matrix agility: Proven success navigating Brand-Distributor dual-management structures
• Field-first DNA: Authentic appetite for store visits and face-to-face retailer engagement—this is not a desk-bound role
• Training craft: Track record designing frontline retail training programmes (AI-assisted content development is a plus)
