Area Sales Manager (Cumbria & Lancaster) for Ainscough Crane Hire. We are looking for an experienced, driven Area Sales Manager to cover Cumbria & Lancaster. Based across 30 locations, our dedicated team delivers projects on time, to budget and to the highest safety standards.

Job Purpose / Objectives
Maintain and increase revenue for the territory to achieve and exceed budgets, including developing a sales pipeline through relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
* Drive sales growth through trading relationships with existing clients and a strong new business pipeline
* Maintain CRM to ensure accurate client activities
* Respond promptly to sales leads from across the business
* Meet or exceed target number of appointments and meetings in line with KPI objectives
* Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in line with pricing guidelines
* Negotiate contracts and framework agreements with new clients within parameters
* Provide regular updates and forecasts on pipeline, projects and frameworks to the Regional Sales Manager
Education / Knowledge / Experience
* Prior sales experience with proven influencing and negotiation ability
* Understanding of crane hire market is helpful but not essential
* Career-oriented with a track record of achieving challenging goals
* Educated to A-Level or equivalent
* IT literate; proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
* Desirable: construction-related sector experience
Skills / Abilities
* Ability to write articulate proposals and reports in response to customer needs
* Deliver value-added presentations to clients
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Solid understanding of the sales process and ability to close sales
* Strong customer focus with an understanding of customer relationships and business processes
* Ability to identify, resolve issues and analyze data using PC tools
* Resilience under pressure, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and manage multiple demands
* Ability to understand customer needs and drive actions to completion
