Offer description

Overview

Salary up to £70,000 DOE and relocation allowance up to £5,000. Be among the first 25 applicants. For over 70 years, Lynton Vets has cared for generations of pets and their families. We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team, where strong client relationships and excellent patient care come first.

A Practice Designed for Pets and People

Our purpose-built hospital-standard practice in Woking offers a modern facility with cat and dog waiting areas, dedicated cat consultation room, large private bereavement suite, spacious prep areas, two theatres, dedicated imaging and lab spaces, and comfortable wards. We provide ultrasound including VVS scans, digital and dental X-ray, multiparameters, and referral options when needed. There is a dedicated admin office and a large staff room with a kitchen.

Responsibilities

* Provide a balanced mix of consulting and surgical duties, including routine neutering, lump removals, and soft tissue surgery.
* Adapt workload to strengths and passions, whether you prefer a consult-only or surgery-focused role.
* Collaborate with a skilled team to deliver high standards of patient care and client service.

Team and Support

Our RVNs run their own clinics, handle second vaccinations, post-op checks, discharges, admits, and repeat medications. In theatre, they support vets to ensure the highest standard of care.

Growth and Development

We offer funded CPD, time to study, and encouragement to grow. Professional development is supported through the IVC Evidensia Academy, certificate opportunities, and access to Vetlexicon and research funding.

Work-Life Balance

This is a full-time role (four days across 40 hours) with no out-of-hours commitment. A 1:4 Saturday rota (8:30am–4:00pm) with time back in lieu. Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. Occasional travel to Addlestone and Bagshot branches is part of the role.

Location and Accommodation

Main site in Woking with self-contained accommodation available at our Bagshot practice for those relocating.

Life in Woking

Located in leafy Surrey, Woking offers a blend of town and country living, with easy access to London by train. The area provides green spaces, outdoor activities, and a vibrant local scene.

What We Offer

* Work-life balance and wellbeing initiatives
* Private Medical Insurance
* Employee Assistance Programme
* Enhanced family-friendly policies
* CPD allowance and certificate support
* Learning opportunities via the IVC Evidensia Academy
* Vetlexicon access and research funding options
* Care Fund (£1250 per veterinary staff member per annum)
* Infection prevention and quality improvement programs
* Professional memberships, including BVA and RCVS fees
* Company pension, Cycle to Work and Green Cars schemes

Requirements

Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with experience suitable for a fast-paced practice, able to work collaboratively within a team of seven Veterinary Surgeons and ten Registered Veterinary Nurses. Interest in development and ongoing learning is welcomed.
