Job Summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Southeast Branch, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of WH Scott Group UK. This role involves managing employees within the branch, overseeing business performance, driving growth, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The Branch Manager will lead a team of professional engineers and an administrator, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve financial, operational, and quality objectives. The role requires effective collaboration within the business unit to ensure cohesive operations and strategic alignment, with a strong focus on managing engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Development:

· Develop and implement branch strategies aligned with the business unit and WH Scott Group UK’s overall goals.

· Foster strong relationships with the team, clients, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.

· Identify and pursue new opportunities that further the interests of the branch and the business unit.

· Drive revenue growth through effective business planning and execution.

2. Operational Management:

· Manage and plan daily work schedules for the branch team to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

· Ensure work sheets are completed by all engineers.

· Communicate effectively with the branch team and clients, ensuring that inspections and testing are delivered in accordance with expectations.

· Analyze and review the performance of the branch, ensuring alignment with business unit KPIs.

· Complete monthly reporting on branch KPIs as required.

3. Project Management:

· Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects within the branch.

· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

· Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources effectively and manage project timelines.

· Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

· Implement best practices in project management to enhance efficiency and quality.

4. Client Liaison & Scheduling:

· Responsible for onboarding and maintaining client relationships.

· Oversee the end-to-end service that clients receive, including dealing with client enquiries, preparation of quotations, and preparation of inspection reports and findings.

5. Compliance Tasks:

· Oversee and manage all health, safety, environment, and quality aspects for the branch in line with WH Scott Group policies and procedures.

· Ensure the safety of all staff and customers associated with branch activities.

· Oversee the administration of the branch to ensure contracts are delivered smoothly from start to finish.

· Oversee stock control, ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements at all times.

6. Strategic Contributions:

Continuously assess and monitor branch operational procedures and implement improvements for efficiency and service quality.

· Collaborate with other branches and business units to share best practices and drive overall organizational success.

· Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Managing Director UK or the CEO of WH Scott Group.
