Working within the healthcare, coastal engineering, education and residential sectors.Key Responsibilities of the position of Quantity SurveyorCommercial & Cost ManagementPreparing budget cost appraisals and cost plansTaking off, squaring, checking, and billingProducing Bills of Quantity, including preliminariesValuations, assessments, and financial reportingPreparing, negotiating, and agreeing final accountsClaims preparation and assessment, including loss and expenseSupporting matters related to contract administration and, where required, disputes or litigationProject Management & Contract AdministrationPreparing and administering building contractsSupervising tender returns, analysing submissions, and producing tender reportsChairing and attending project meetings, including setting agendas and recording actionsSite progress and quality inspections, and snagging activitiesActing as Employer's Agent and/or Project Manager relevant to the form of contractSkills & Experience required for the role of Quantity SurveyorProven experience in Project Management and/or Quantity Surveyor rolesStrong technical knowledge of cost management, contracts, and procurementConfident communicator, comfortable leading meetings and negotiationsHighly organised (ability to self-manage time) with excellent attention to detail and maintain high standards of working and project engagementAble to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyProfessional qualification (RICS preferred), or working towardsFull UK driving licence, own vehicle for travel and right to work in the UK are essentialReal Recruitment Solutions is committed to a policy of equal opportunities across all areas of our business and at all stages in the selection process.
