An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our well-established Medical and Frailty Same Day Emergency Care Unit and Medical Day Case Unit.The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Unit Manager with the continuous improvement of the department, effectively monitoring and maintaining excellent standards of care that are reflected by patient experience. Experience in Acute Medicine is essential for this role to support staff with unwell patients and to lead by example to identify and act accordingly to the deteriorating patient.You will work closely with the multi - disciplinary team receiving referrals for appropriate patients to come to the unit and sign post referrers to more appropriate services is required. You will play a pivotal role in patient flow not just on the unit but including Accident and Emergency Department and other areas of the hospital.You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have a proactive management style, anticipating and dealing with issues constructively within the multidisciplinary team setting.
