Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services
📍 Scotland (Edinburgh/Glasgow-based, flexible hybrid)

We’re supporting a well established engineering consultancy on the search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity to work on high profile projects across education, healthcare, commercial, defence, and transport, with a strong focus on low carbon and sustainable design.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading the electrical design of building services projects, from concept through detailed design.
* Working closely with clients to develop clear briefs and produce options appraisals and design reports.
* Coordinating with architects, structural/civil engineers, and project teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
* Overseeing site activity, ensuring quality standards and budget control.
* Supporting tender processes and validating commissioning procedures.
* Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
What we’re looking for:
* Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or related).
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards this.
* Track record of delivering substantial and complex construction projects.
* Strong understanding of British Standards and ideally Scottish Technical Standards.
* Proficiency with MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD, IES, or other design tools would be an advantage.
* Experience in sustainable/low carbon building design is highly desirable.
