What you’ll be doing
•Act as a trusted consultant to business partners and leaders on strategic workforce planning, providing insights and best practice to support local initiatives
•Support the development and delivery of BT’s Strategic Workforce Plan, ensuring future skills and capabilities align with long-term business strategy
•Contribute to the evolution of the Strategic Workforce Planning roadmap, enhancing the maturity, accuracy, and effectiveness of BT’s overall approach
•Lead the scoping and design of BT’s strategic workforce management tooling roadmap, working closely with partners in Digital
•Conduct regular market scanning and benchmarking to ensure internal practices remain current and competitive
•Develop and deliver workforce data and insights to inform the BT People Strategy and key business decisions
The skills you'll need to succeed
•Analyse large, often incomplete data sets to uncover insights and build support for recommendations that make a real difference.
•Develop strategies for change that align with organisational goals while anticipating challenges and opportunities.
•Identify inefficiencies in complex processes and design practical, effective solutions.
•Collect, analyse, and interpret data to extract meaningful insights for informed decision-making, with strong Excel modelling skills at a minimum.
•Understand how current and future workforces create value, generate revenue, and maintain competitive advantage.
•Build relationships, influence others, convey and receive information clearly, and resolve conflicts to achieve objectives.
•Engage effectively with senior stakeholders, manage relationships, and build trust across the organisation.
Experience that will help you succeed:
•Familiarity with the strategic workforce planning lifecycle is desirable, including:
•Forecasting future workforce needs: Analysing business goals and market trends to anticipate roles, skills, and capabilities required.
•Gap analysis: Assessing current workforce capabilities to identify gaps that could impact delivery.
•Developing actionable plans: Creating and implementing strategies to attract, develop, retain, and deploy talent effectively.
