The Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance support of the full range of Rapiscan’s products at Greenland Airports, while maintaining and developing a strong relationship with the customer and ensuring Customer Satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Installation and service support of Rapiscan’s Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) at our customer’s premises, primarily at Nuuk, Ilulissat & Qaqortoq Airports.
2. Maintain all Rapiscan products as scheduled.
3. Total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-system problems. Proficient Electronic / mechanical & IT skills.
4. Daily interface with operators, technicians and BHS managers on equipment status issues.
5. Carry out site surveys for efficient installation of systems where required.
6. Help train others where necessary; participate as active member of Local Customer Teams as required and share best
7. Ensure common practices and efficient methods are applied for Service provided and adherence to SLA requirements.
8. Responsibly complete all administration tasks in timely and complete manner.
9. Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions, Planned Maintenance, Corrective Repair and Service Inspection documentation for assigned accounts and file Service Reports promptly.
10. Play a key role in complex and multifunctional site installations as required.
11. Proactively seek training to keep up to date with technological developments in own modality/modalities.
12. Promptly escalate any quality or integrity issue.
13. Comply with all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Policies, applicable laws and regulations. Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions.
14. Shift pattern including call outs may be required as part of the role, including Weekends and Public Holidays as required
15. Any other departmental ad-hoc duties when required.

17. Ability to obtain airport security passes (will require criminal record check and references).
18. Willingness to travel between sites at short notice, and overseas for training as required.
19. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time, as directed by manager or company, to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
20. You are a confident self-starter, fully capable of working unsupervised with support from internationally based teams.
21. Excellent communication, organisational and administration discipline
22. Previous experience working in a customer facing environment would be beneficial. Electronics and Computer experience essential, along with working knowledge of Microsoft office related programs.
23. Electronics and computer knowledge. Must have qualifications in subjects relevant to the role.
24. Extensive experience working with a field-based customer support team servicing high tech security equipment and systems.
