We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Recruitment Business Developer to identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within the recruitment sector. This is a key role focused on expanding our client base, building lasting relationships, and driving revenue growth through tailored recruitment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and strategic outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, and senior decision-makers
* Understand client hiring needs and present bespoke recruitment solutions across permanent and contract staffing
* Negotiate commercial terms and close new client agreements
* Collaborate closely with the recruitment delivery team to ensure seamless onboarding and successful client delivery
* Log and manage all business development activity in our CRM system
* Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover new business opportunities
* Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in business development or sales within the recruitment industry (agency or in-house)
* Solid understanding of recruitment service models (permanent and contract), with a client-focused mindset
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Familiarity with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales pipelines
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Desirable:
* Industry knowledge in sectors such as technology, healthcare, or finance
* Experience in a 360-recruitment role
* Existing portfolio of clients or a developed professional network
