Reference: fabaad28 Personal Care Assistant My client R is looking for a personal care assistant to support him with his daily routine and accessing the community. R is a great lover of music and has been involved in the music industry for a long time. My client is a smoker. Main Duties To support with: · Support to transfer from bed to wheelchair to shower and help with personal care/hygiene routine including washing/showering and dressing. Applying creams when he is unable to do so. · Support accessing the local community and facilities including shops, assistance with shopping and carrying items. · Access transport services/public transport to attend appointments when needed. · Support with keeping his home clean and tidy, to enable him to move around his home freely and safely in his wheelchair. Desirable criteria: · Have use of own vehicle. · Some flexibility with working hours would be advantageous. · Have experience of working as a PA and be able to support with moving and transferring (although training will be provided) Personal Qualities & Attributes Required · Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy. · Excellent timekeeping. · Some previous PA experience would be advantageous but not essential. · Good communication and social skills. · To respect confidentiality and privacy. Location: Fishponds, Bristol. Hours: Monday 10:00am - 1:00pm; Wednesday 10:00am - 12.00noon & Friday 10:00am – 1:00pm Pay: £12.00 Per Hour. Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time). Start Date: ASAP.
