Full-time/Part-time, Term-time only - Fixed Term
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our Progression Pathways Department. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of teaching and learning, ensuring continuity for students when their usual lecturer is unavailable.
About the Role:
* Supervise classes across the Progression Pathways curriculum in the absence of teaching staff.
* Deliver pre-prepared learning materials, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
* Provide support for learners with a range of needs, promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress during cover sessions.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider success of the department.
About You:
* Experience of working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
* Experience of working with a range of learners with a range of send needs and or students who require a personalised, holistic approach to addresses complex barriers of accessing education.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
* An understanding of the challenges and opportunities within FE and the Progression Pathways provision.
* A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the success of all learners.
