Cover Supervisor - Farnborough
Prospero Teaching is looking for confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Farnborough. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with young people and feel comfortable leading a classroom using pre-prepared lesson materials.
You'll step in for absent teachers, guide students through the set work, maintain behaviour expectations, and ensure pupils remain engaged throughout the lesson. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, youth-work staff, or anyone interested in gaining solid classroom experience.
You can choose full-time, part-time, or day-to-day work depending on your availability.
The Role:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
* Supervise classes while ensuring students stay on task
* Manage behaviour in line with school policies
* Support pupils with classwork and general queries
* Work across different year groups in KS3 and KS4
* Maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
* Provide cover at short notice or through pre-booked assignments
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
* Confident leading a classroom independently
* Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour-management skills
* Adaptable and comfortable covering a range of subjects
* Reliable, positive, and proactive
* Graduates or aspiring teachers encouraged to apply
Contract Details:
* Position: Cover Supervisor
* Location: Farnborough
* Start Date: ASAP
* Working Pattern: Full-time, part-time, or day-to-day
* Pay: Up to £130 per day
* Age Groups: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
* Experience with young people required
* Classroom or behaviour-support experience helpful
* Safeguarding training can be provided
Eligibility:
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
* Two references covering work with young people
