Job title: Lead Mechanical Engineer – Hydraulic Systems

Salary: Circa £55,000
Responsibilities
* Review combat design’s and provide Mechanical design feedback (Structural, Thermal & Hydraulic) in the Naval/Marine domain
* Take ownership of specific Mechanical design issues and manage Integrated Combat Systems
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders while managing updates and design inputs
* Produce CS Mechanical design interface information
* Perform Engineering calculations and generate associated test specifications and procedures
* Produce Engineering Drawings in FORAN/CADS5/Viso to BS 8888
Qualifications
* Essential: Hydraulic / Pneumatic Systems Engineering experience
* Degree or HND qualified with experience
* Chartered or working towards Chartership
* Desirable: Defence Standard knowledge/Experience

The Platform Physical Design Team
The Platform Physical Design and Installation Service’s provides a key role in physically incorporating Integrated Combat System’s Equipment onto our Royal Navy Submarine Fleet.

This is a critical role in the delivery of the product to the customer and will allow you to liaise with high level stakeholders and develop a lasting career with BAE Systems. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
