Teaching Assistant - SEN Focus - Primary School - Enfield - September 2025 Start
A well-regarded and welcoming primary school in Enfield is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil in Key Stage 1 with Autism and speech and language difficulties. This Teaching Assistant position is to start in September 2025, and the school is conducting trial days now to secure a strong match ahead of the new academic year.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pupil's learning, communication, and social interaction. Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO, the Teaching Assistant will help deliver tailored interventions, support with transitions, and ensure a calm, structured environment throughout the school day.
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
1. Have experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally with ASD and communication needs
2. Be patient, adaptable, and consistent in approach
3. Work well both independently and as part of a wider team
4. Show a passion for inclusive education and pupil development
