An exciting opportunity for an experienced Operational Supervisor- Cold Store to join the management team at Company Shop.
The Operations Supervisor- Cold Store will be pivotal to the success of the Cold Store site at South Kirby,WF9 3AP.
The role will see direct and indirect managerial responsibilities across various teams who are managing the operational activity, with up to15 staff across the shift.
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a solid commitment to delivery whilst adhering to quality, health and safety, food and environmental standards and processes.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Daily management of a dynamic operational environment that may be impacted by deliveries, systems and processes
* Oversee the day-to-day operational activity across all areas including frozen produce, FLT and warehouse, tray sortation, stock control, goods in/out
* Monitor workflow, identify any potential risk that may impact SLA’s and agree timely corrective action through to resolution
* Flexible, fast and effective re-deployment of staff to meet daily challenges and ensure targets/ customer expectations are fully met
* Management of staff, to include:
o Regular 121’s, document discussions and follow up actions/ feedback
o Absence monitoring
o Disciplinary and grievance issues in accordance with Company Shop policies
* Recruitment and onboarding of new staff
* Adhere to all environmental, food safety and quality/ hygiene procedures when undertaking duties
* Ensure Health & Safety instructions and procedures are followed:
o Machinery, equipment, or vehicles used within the work area are maintained, correctly guarded and meet health & Safety requirements
o Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, used, and stored appropriately
o Health & Safety issues raised with departmental managers in a timely manner
o Record/report all accidents and near misses
o Report all hazards, safety shortcomings or anything that could result in serious or imminent danger
o Perform investigations in Health & Safety and compliance breach and deviations from procedures, ensure investigation reports and corrective/preventative actions are closed out
* Drive change and continuous improvement- constantly look at operational improvements, sharing knowledge and lead by example

Requirements
* A proven record of management experience within large-scale operations
* Experience of Managing a Team of up to 15
* Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate and rectify potential problems
* Lead by example and always uphold Company Shop Group values
* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
* To be flexible and adaptable to support the needs of the business
* Strong operational and technical knowledge of your departmental area
* Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage own workload
* Able to work to strict deadlines

Hours: 40 hours per week working 7am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
