Job Description
Investor Relations Analyst / Associate - Real Estate Investment Management
London | Hybrid (4 days office)
Waterfall is exclusively engaged to appoint an Investor Relations Analyst/Associate on behalf of a leading real estate investment management firm. Our client is a well-established real estate investment management firm with a global footprint and a team spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. The business is wholly owned by a leading independent global asset management firm with USD $110+ billion of AUM.
In the UK and Europe, the team is lean and combines institutional strength with a dynamic, agile and entrepreneurial culture. The platform oversees approximately £3 billion in assets under management across three core strategies: commercial real estate equity, residential equity, and real estate debt. It also holds strategic investments in several specialist real estate development and asset management businesses across the region.
We are now looking to hire an Investor Relations Analyst/Associate, with responsibility for ensuring the efficient and organised execution of all investor relations related activities. This role offers real responsibility from day one - supporting capital raising, delivering investor communications, and playing a central part in maintaining high standards of service across both pooled funds and SMAs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation and coordination of investor reports, pitch decks, and bespoke communications, including quarterly and annual updates, case studies, and fund reporting.
* Support capital raising activities, including investor roadshows, meeting preparation, CRM management, and data sourcing using tools like Preqin and With Intelligence.
* Manage incoming investor requests, liaising with internal teams to deliver timely and accurate responses.
* Collate and organise data from Investment and Fund Management teams for reporting and due diligence.
* Own the investor CRM/database and coordinate onboarding for new investors.
* Work across a growing number of pooled funds and SMA’s, requiring high attention to detail and tailored servicing.
The Individual
* 2–5 years’ experience in investor relations or a similar role within real estate, private equity, fund or asset management.
* Excellent organisational, written communication, problem-solving skills and agility when working to tight deadlines.
* High attention to detail, strong time management, and confidence using Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (Salesforce or HubSpot ideal).
* A collaborative team player who thrives in a small, fast-paced environment and is comfortable working independently.
* Someone who’s happy in a long-term IR role - this is not a pathway into sales or distribution. Growth and advancement will be closely tied to the firm’s fundraising success and team expansion needs.
* Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
What's On Offer
* A competitive compensation package, including a discretionary bonus aligned with performance and capital raising success.
* Hybrid working model (typically 4 days in the London office), with a sociable and supportive culture.
* Generous training allowance, e-learning access, and clear long-term opportunity as the IR function grows.
* A chance to make a real impact in a lean, entrepreneurial team as the firm targets significant AUM growth.
Next Steps
Please apply without delay, for initial conversations and assessment underway from 9th June. Shortlisted candidates will be selected for client interviews within the month.
