In addition, you will:

* Lead on future Hazardous Waste charging proposals and consultations, advising on technical aspects and their links to waste tracking.
* Support wider regulatory reform related to the Hazardous Waste Regulations.
* Support and contribute to the wider Hazardous Waste team’s activities.

The team

The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing group within the Regime Regulation team of E&B Waste Regulation. We lead on hazardous waste management, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure proper handling of hazardous waste.

We promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture where everyone feels valued. We leverage evidence, expertise, engagement, and innovation to support policy development, legislation, and resource allocation.
