Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as Business Manager/ Rota coordinator within Medical Services for Mental Health & Learning Disabilities continuing care group. We are looking for an individual who can divide their time effectively between dual roles to provide strategic business support and operational rota support, ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient operation of Medical Services.
The post holder will need to demonstrate strong organisational, planning and time management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales. You will be responsible for providing an efficient, high quality business performance and planning process for the Medical Services.
The role involves Medical Workforce Co-ordination, managing complex medical rotas across multiple specialties and counties, ensuring adequate cover and skill mix. You will help manage leave, sickness and emergency cover to maintain uninterrupted service delivery, and provide operational and business support to act as a liaison between clinical teams, HR, finance and operational management.
The post holder will use data to identify areas requiring support to meet Welsh Government targets and develop data capture systems where needed. Advanced digital skills with experience of databases, spreadsheets and other software are required.
Monitor medical staffing budgets including locum usage and job plan alignment. This role ensures that medical staff are strategically managed, operational risks are mitigated, and services are delivered efficiently, supporting the Clinical Lead of the Clinical Care Group.
To ensure that information and documentation are provided in a timely fashion and readily available for meetings and discussions, including preparing reports, agendas, minutes, statistics and other similar documents.
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. We have over 13,000 staff and provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services. We work in partnership with three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including volunteers.
