Meningitis Research Foundation is an international health charity headquartered in the UK, driven by a passionate mission to prevent the devastating impact of meningitis. Founded by individuals whose lives were profoundly affected by meningitis, we are dedicated to enabling positive change by uniting people and knowledge to save lives.

Along with the Confederation of Meningitis Organisations, our worldwide network of people and groups, we are driven by a shared purpose to defeat meningitis.

The team

Our student events team are responsible for a significant proportion of our events income, with around 200 students each year taking on a once-in-a-lifetime charity challenge such as climbing Kilimanjaro, trekking to Everest Base Camp or running the Budapest Marathon. Our fundraising in this area is well established, and we have been offering challenge events that students can embark on for over 13 years. As a charity, we have been working with universities for almost 35 years, which is an important element of our work due to students being at a higher risk of the disease.

The role

In this role, you will join our student events team as a Student Fundraising Executive working across the UK and Ireland. You will be travelling to universities and speaking with students to encourage them to become fundraisers, raising money on behalf of the Meningitis Research Foundation. As a student fundraising executive, you will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with our university partners and will be at the forefront of supporting our student fundraisers to achieve their fundraising goals.

Joining our student events team offers a dynamic, supportive environment with diverse responsibilities. No prior experience is needed; we offer full training for this role. We seek candidates who are passionate about charity work, self-motivated, and energetic.
