About Your Opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to secure and manage project cost, schedule, and performance in conformance with company policies, standards, and goals. The Project Manager provides superior technical expertise to the client.
How You’ll Contribute:
* Prepare the project plan, sequence, and schedule in collaboration with field personnel.
* Prepare and issue project documents including progress reports, schedule updates, and financial/budget reports.
* Initiate periodic meetings and communication with project team members and clients to address unresolved issues and coordinate effectively.
* Monitor project progress for adherence to schedule and budget, and adjust plans as necessary.
* Identify scope changes affecting budget and schedule, advise clients, and negotiate adjustments.
* Keep clients informed of project progress, technical issues, and their impact on design and costs.
* Ensure timely submission of invoices that meet contractual requirements.
* Resolve problems that could impede project progress or affect client relations, involving management when needed.
* Coordinate with estimating team on costs and schedules, and review related plans and reports.
* Participate in contract negotiations and scope change budgeting, ensuring procedural compliance.
* Assist with initial budget preparation and project procurement processes.
* Manage and develop Project Assistants and Engineers.
* Review safety requirements during pre-installation planning and conduct site safety inspections.
Qualifications:
* B.S. degree in Construction Technology, Engineering, or related field, with 3-7 years of relevant experience.
* Experience managing construction projects with contract values of $5 million and above.
* Experience across multiple disciplines including project management, estimating, preconstruction, and construction management.
* Experience in sales and marketing, including making presentations to potential clients.
* OSHA 10 Hour Certification; OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications are preferred.
* Ability to travel and work additional hours as needed to meet business goals.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires minimal standing or walking. Employees should be able to sit for extended periods, drive for several hours, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. It may also require bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and working at heights above 6 feet.
