We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 32.5 Hours
Working Weeks TTO: 39 Weeks
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed term until 31st August 2027

The Governing Body of Markham Primary School is seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning, assist teachers and the Headteacher in the delivery of an effective and exciting curriculum.
The role will include class based work as well as small group and 1:1 intervention work. The school is a happy, nurturing, forward thinking community school where the Teaching Assistants work extremely hard as valued members of a strong school team. A calm, approachable and positive manner is essential along with good communication skills. The successful candidate will show a commitment to helping every child make progress and reach their full potential.
For the role, we ask that you have:
Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants experience.
Understanding of relevant polices/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
