Job Title: Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Scotland\nLocation: (Field-Based)\nSalary: Competitive, plus company vehicle and benefits\nJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent\nAbout the Role: Recruit 2 You is working with a well-established and reputable company to find a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team covering the Scotland region. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual to work with a market leader, providing exceptional service and support to customers within hospitals, laboratories, and funeral director premises.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * Carry out installation, servicing, and maintenance of laboratory and pathology equipment across the Scotland area.\n * Diagnose and repair faults on warming cabinets, humidity cabinets, CO2 incubators, mechanical hydraulic hoists (manual and electric), and height-adjustable benches.\n * Provide technical support and training to customers as required.\n * Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report back to the service team.\n * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.\n * Work independently and be willing to stay away from home for several nights a week when required.\nRequirements:\n * NVQ or C&G electrical qualification (ideally Level 3 / 18th Edition).\n * Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a maintenance field.\n * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.\n * Sound mechanical knowledge to service electrical and mechanical equipment.\n * Excellent face-to-face customer service skills.\n * Full UK driving licence.\n * Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK (company NOT participating in VISA schemes).\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n * Confidence in using mobile apps for work-related tasks (training provided).\n * Willingness to travel extensively within Scotland with occasional overnight stays.\nWhat’s in it for you?\n * Competitive salary with additional benefits package.\n * Leased transit-type vehicle (renewed approx. every 3 years) for exclusive use, plus a fuel card.\n * All necessary tools provided.\n * Company iPhone for work and personal use (within plan limits).\n * Company uniform, PPE, and appropriate workwear provided.\n * Overnight accommodation covered (Premier Inn card provided).\n * Meal and additional work-related expenses included (per Expenses Policy).\n * In-house product-specific training and opportunities to gain further qualifications.\n * Access to an exclusive discount app, online workout/wellness platform, and employee assistance programme.\n * Company events (e.g., Christmas Party).\n * 20 days of paid annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing each year up to a max of 25 days, with a small portion allocated for a company-wide Christmas shutdown).\n * Company pension scheme.\nIf you are a proactive and skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for an opportunity to advance your career with a leading organisation, we would love to hear from you.
