Interaction Education are pleased to be working with a great school in the Watford area in their search for an SEN teacher.
This is a full time, long term contract position and will be paid dependent on experience. Key responsibilities can be found below:
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
* Provide a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
* Regularly monitor and track student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
* Support students with personal care and social development as appropriate.
* Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Essential Criteria
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs.
* Strong understanding of SEN policies and best practices.
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to differentiate and adapt lessons to meet diverse needs.
* Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with specific SEN needs such as Autism, Dyslexia, or ADHD.
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Special Education or SEN.
* Familiarity with assistive technology in the classroom.
