Job Title: Technical Accountant

The Job
TheTechnical Accountant role supports the Group Reporting - Technical Team on ensuring the correct reporting of transactions.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Technical Accountant in the Group Reporting - Technical Team, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
1. Assistance with the accuracy, completeness and documentation of fixed and variable consolidation adjustments;
2. Data analysis for the calculation of consolidation adjustments;
3. Assisting with calculating the required accounting adjustments for acquisitions, divestments and other transactions across the group;
4. Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation;
5. Supporting the production of the year-end financial statements;
6. Assisting in documenting policies for the maintenance of the Group accounting manual; and
7. Ad-hoc support with technical accounting and reporting issues.
8. Ensuring that consolidated group financial statements are prepared in accordance with required standards in line with the prescribed timelines;
9. Ensuring that all consolidation adjustments are calculated accurately and documented to an auditable standard; and
10. Being seen as a valuable source of support to controllers to help achieve reporting deadlines and report in accordance with group policies.
Skills & Qualifications
11. Qualified accountant with experience of financial reporting and consolidations
12. Building relationships quickly/interpersonal skills
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
14. Organised and able to balance conflicting priorities
15. Capable of managing time and meeting deadlines
16. Collaborative, with good communications skills
17. High attention to detail
18. Confident, motivated self-starter
19. Able to comply with documented processes and procedures
