Lead the development and implementation of a stimulating and challenging History curriculum across all year groups. Motivate and inspire a team of talented History teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth. Play a key role in the recruitment, development, and performance management of the History department staff. Contribute to the wider leadership team of the school, supporting the overall vision and educational goals. Foster a love of History and encourage students to develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills. Oversee the effective use of resources and facilities to enhance the History learning experience. Develop strong relationships with parents and the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified History Teacher with a minimum of 5 years' successful teaching experience, including significant leadership experience within a secondary school setting (preferably independent schools). A proven track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes in History. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for innovative teaching methods that bring History to life. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students.
