Terms and Conditions apply About the Team and the Role Family Connexions is ACE’s dedicated Birth Family Support Service. We offer confidential, independent support to birth family members who have been affected by adoption. Our outreach-based model allows us to work flexibly in the community, as well as remotely via phone, WhatsApp and video calls. As a Social Care Worker in Family Connexions, you will: Provide one-to-one emotional support to birth family members before, during and after the adoption process. Help individuals understand and come to terms with the loss of a child to adoption. Facilitate support groups and peer networks across the ACE region. Support birth families in maintaining relationships with adopted children, including indirect exchanges of information and meetings with adopters. Offer practical advice and signposting to other services. Contribute to reunification plans led by adopted children and their families.
