Overview:
La Fosse has partnered with an international, market-leading media, broadcasting, and outdoor organisation that is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The role involves delivering complex projects within a £200 million infrastructure programme for a Transportation client.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver projects successfully, ensuring they stay within budget, scope, and safety standards, in compliance with CDM regulations 2015.
* Develop comprehensive project plans covering budgets, timelines, and resources.
* Guide project teams through all phases, from scoping and design to construction and commissioning, meeting all goals and deadlines.
* Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project issues.
* Supervise contractors to ensure adherence to scope, specifications, and safety standards.
* Manage budgets and forecasts for CAPEX projects, ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits.
* Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to optimize costs, negotiate contracts, and monitor contractor performance.
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations, finance, and other departments to align project objectives.
* Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
* Manage contractor relationships to ensure compliance with project standards.
* Ensure all CAPEX projects comply with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards, as well as company policies.
* Implement quality control and assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
* Maintain detailed project records, including progress reports, budgets, and meeting minutes.
* Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and performance metrics.
* Oversee the preparation of project closeout documentation and facilitate the transition of completed projects to operations.
Experience Needed:
* At least 5 years of experience managing projects in the rail sector.
* Proficiency in construction contract frameworks such as NEC, JCT, CCN, and effective administration of these contracts.
* Experience delivering construction, installation, and commissioning projects, preferably on roadside, highway, or rail projects.
* Experience managing contractors and suppliers within NEC3/4 or similar contract management environments.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations 2015 and demonstrated safety-first site management and auditing.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Primavera P6, and document management systems like ASite.
* Experience leading project managers and direct reports.
