Civil Project Manager, Major Water Infrastructure
The Resolute Group is proud to be working with a Utility and Water Project Consultancy to appoint a Civil Engineering Project Manager working on Lincoln and Fens Reservoir programmes. The successful Civil Project Manager will join the project and have experience in delivering a full life cycle project, with involvement in the DCO and ECI phases.
* Location: Occasional Travel to project office in Peterborough 1 day a week
* Hybrid working: Home-based 4 days a week / 1 day a week in the client’s office.
* Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + package
The Opportunity:
We are supporting a project management consultancy delivering strategic infrastructure programmes across the water and environmental sectors.
With two of the UK’s largest new reservoir projects in over 30 years — the Fens Reservoir (Cambridgeshire) and the Lincolnshire Reservoir, entering their key planning and development phases, we are seeking a Civil Project Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering these nationally significant projects.
You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team helping guide these schemes through the Development Consent Order (DCO) and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phases, ensuring they are designed, consented, and delivered to world-class standards of safety, sustainability, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate civil infrastructure project delivery activities across feasibility, design, and early delivery phases.
* Manage planning, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory submissions for DCO and ECI stages.
* Oversee multidisciplinary teams (engineering, environmental, and commercial) ensuring delivery to agreed milestones.
* Support buildability and value-engineering reviews in collaboration with design and construction partners.
* Interface with client and contractor teams to align technical, commercial, and environmental outcomes.
* Contribute to risk, programme, and cost management through proactive reporting and issue resolution.
* Ensure compliance with national environmental standards and water-sector regulations.
Desired Experienced
* Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience in managing large-scale civil or water infrastructure projects.
* Understanding of Development Consent Order (DCO) and/or Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) processes.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to coordinate between regulators, designers, contractors, and local communities.
* Experience working within a consultancy, client-side, or major contractor environment.
* Ideally, knowledge of reservoir, flood risk, or water supply infrastructure or Heavy Civils.
* Full driving license
