***Unique opportunity for a graduate to provide additional support to SEN KS3 and KS4 students.
Requirements:
At least a bachelor’s degree in psychology, or a related field.
Genuine care and passion surrounding the wellbeing of students with additional needs.
Personable and friendly to ensure strong bonds between yourself and students.
Dedication to following safeguarding processes.
Previous experience of working with children, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not mandatory.
The Role:
Getting to know each student and learning about their additional learning needs.
Building good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to preserve a positive learning environment.
Assisting in the planning of lesson plans and the creation of learning materials and adapting these to fit each individual’s needs.
Supporting students in an SEN Teaching Assistant role in and out of class time with their work, as they progress towards their GCSE examinations.
Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils.
