Closing Date for Application: Friday 30/05/2025 Role Purpose As the Technical Director, you will lead the product strategy, development, and execution at Polypipe Civils and Green Urbanisation. Your role will focus on driving product innovation and excellence, coaching and mentoring the product teams, and ensuring successful product launches that align with market needs and company goals. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery, optimising solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth. Core areas of responsibility Monitor market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and ensure product competitiveness while meeting evolving customer needs. Plan and execute product launches in collaboration with marketing, development, and sales teams, ensuring alignment in go-to-market strategies, positioning, messaging, and pricing. Assess growth opportunities, evaluate new markets, and identify operational bottlenecks. Guide the technical direction of product development, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and best practices. Drive innovation through R&D efforts, integrating new technologies to improve products and processes. Oversee the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring they meet time, scope, and budget requirements. Manage project risks and troubleshoot technical challenges to ensure product success. Ensure alignment of architecture and technical decisions with industry standards and future trends. Foster a collaborative culture of innovation and continuous improvement across technical teams. Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure seamless product development. Maintain high-quality standards across the product lifecycle, from development to deployment and maintenance. Establish performance benchmarks and ensure reliability and scalability of systems. Manage the technical department’s budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and high-quality output. Present updates, technical roadmaps, and key decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders. Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical departments to ensure clear communication. Capabilities required GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent) Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Agile Certified Project Manager (desirable) Proven leadership experience in building and managing high-performing teams Strong track record in product management, with a focus on innovation and delivery of large-scale technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
