Structured Finance ManagerJob Description

Purpose of the role

To manage debt structuring and set the strategic direction. Provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage debt structuring risk across the organisation.

Accountabilities
1. Development of strategic direction for debt structuring, including the implementation of up to date methodologies and processes.
2. Management of debt structuring, including oversight of colleagues and their performance, implementation of departmental goals and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness. .
3. Relationship management of debt structuring stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third party services.
4. Development and implementation of policies and procedures for debt structuring.
5. Management of debt structuring risk, including identification of potential risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintenance of alignment between the bank's debt structuring andpliance functions. .
6. Monitoring the financial performance of the debt structuring department, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.
7. Conducting thorough market research to understand market trends,petitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify market opportunities.

8. To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
9. Lead a team performingplex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward oues
10. 11. OR for an individual contributor, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation toplete assignments. They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying abination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required oues.
12. Consult onplex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
13. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control andernance agenda.
14. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
15. Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
16. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
17. Engage inplex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams,panies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
18. Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve oues.

To be successful as a Structured Finance Manager at Barclays, you should have experience with:

19. Accounting degree
20. Audit or finance or tax knowledge
21. Good analytical skills and Excel knowledge
22. Excellent interpersonal skills

Some other highly valued skills may include

23. Previous debt management experience
24. Experience in working in a large, international organisation
