Credit Risk Administrator


Position Overview

As a Credit Risk Administrator you play a critical role in enabling sales while safeguarding the business against financial loss. You’ll make well‑informed credit decisions, conduct rapid risk assessments, and balance commercial objectives with robust risk controls. Speed, accuracy, and sound judgement are essential to the success of both the Credit Risk team and the wider business.


Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is £24,785 per annum plus career development opportunities.


Hybrid Working

We operate a hybrid working policy that allows employees to balance time in the office and time from home. Each team can decide how to implement the policy.


Responsibilities

* Make informed decisions on credit limits, terms, and order release.
* Release sales orders held pending credit approval in line with risk appetite and policy.
* Identify, investigate, and mitigate potential fraud risks.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer and credit data in the system.
* Support the wider Credit Risk team in managing exposure and protecting company cash flow.
* Assess and review new customer credit applications, including credit checks, financial analysis, and account setup.
* Analyse and monitor the credit risk of existing and prospective customers.


Experience and Qualifications

* Enthusiastic individual looking to begin or develop a career in Credit Risk, Credit Control, or Finance.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Operations) and external customers.
* High attention to detail with a structured and analytical approach.
* Strong critical‑thinking skills with the confidence to make commercial, risk‑based decisions.
* Ability to work under pressure in a time‑sensitive environment while maintaining accuracy and control.
* Ability to liaise in person and over Microsoft Teams with internal and external stakeholders.
