Metalis are currently working in partnership with a precision engineering company and are looking to recruit an experienced Manual Turner on a permanent basis due to continued growth and expansion.

Job Duties:
* Setting and operating manual turning machines to manufacture precision components to specification
* Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
* Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances
* Inspecting finished components using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
* Carrying out machine adjustments and basic maintenance as required
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with quality and health & safety standards
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work area
* Working collaboratively as part of a skilled engineering team
Job Requirements:
* Previous experience operating manual turning machinery essential
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances within a precision engineering environment
* Confident using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a growing business
Shifts & Salary:
* 40 hours per week (typically 7:00am 3:30pm, with flexibility)
* Many team members currently work 6:30am 3:30pm Monday to Thursday
* Early finish on Fridays (typically 6:30am 12:30pm)
* Circa £18.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
