Are you ready to take your CNC operating skills to the next level? At Waukesha Bearings, a proud member of Dover Precision Components, we are looking for a Skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. You will be part of a cutting-edge Computer Aided Manufacturing facility, where you will utilize advanced CNC machining centers for turning, milling, and grinding operations. Your work will help produce customized designs from a variety of materials, including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Your Role
In this role, you will work with a diverse range of multi-axis machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders. You will be involved in a high-mix workload of customized fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators, serving customers across Europe and beyond.
What We Offer
* Annual Salary:
o £44,919.62 for a rotating shift pattern (early 6am and backshifts 2pm)
o £52,452.37 for night shift work
* Working Hours: 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday with permanent employment contracts.

What You Will Bring
* Time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machine tools in a lean-manufacturing environment
* Established experience with Rotary Table Grinders, CNC Table Grinders, or 5 Axis CNC Grinders
* Experience with multi-axis machine tools, ideally Correa and/or Doosan
* Familiarity with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
* Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm
* Experience with precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
* Experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar environments is a plus
Your Responsibilities
* Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements
* Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system
* Interpret work instructions and select proper tooling for operations
* Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials
* Edit or write complete programs as needed
* Understand tooling and machinery capabilities
* Perform necessary quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles
* Visually inspect final components and prepare them for shipment
* Use precision measuring instruments for quality verification
