About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of primary and secondary schools in the Kettering area to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils and contributing to a positive learning environment.
You may be working 1:1 with pupils, supporting small groups, or assisting within the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. Roles are available across EYFS, KS1, KS2, and secondary settings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support pupils with their learning and development in the classroom
2. Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
3. Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning objectives
4. Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
5. Support pupils with additional needs where required
6. Supervise pupils during breaktimes and school activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
7. Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable)
8. A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and wellbeing
11. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (or willingness to undertake training)
Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant are advantageous but not essential.
