Job Purpose (high level overview)
Harland and Wolff, a leading shipbuilding company recently acquired by Navantia UK, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Graduate Talent Coordinator to join our Talent Management team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Head of Talent and gain exposure across various functions including Recruitment, Early Careers, Learning and Development, Culture Change, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), and Social Value. The successful candidate will support specific projects and peak times within the team, with opportunities to take ownership of topics end-to-end and undertake rotations in other parts of the business.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Assist in the recruitment process for apprentices, interns, graduates, and individuals joining the company in trades without prior skills.
* Support the Early Careers program, including coordination of training and development activities.
* Contribute to Learning and Development initiatives, helping to design, deliver and evaluate training programs.
* Participate in Culture Change projects, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
* Assist in DE&I initiatives, ensuring diverse and equitable practices within the organiszation.
* Support Social Value projects, contributing to community engagement and corporate social responsibility efforts.
* Provide administrative support, including data entry, report generation, and maintaining records.
* Coordinate people and projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution of tasks.
* Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and information sharing, including the wider HR team in Spain.
* Take ownership of specific topics or projects, managing them from inception to completion under the supervision of more experienced team members.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to coordinate people and projects efficiently.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Initiative in learning about the industry, organisation and functions to deliver a better HR service.
* Interest in shipbuilding and maritime industry is a plus.
Education and Experience
* Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, analysis and communication purposes.
* Experience of overseeing or managing projects either in a work or educational setting.
* Ability to monitor and report on the impact of initiatives, using analytical skills to assess results and improve outcomes.
