Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Civil Engineer, located in Horbury. In this role, you will collaborate with senior engineers to support the design and execution of civil engineering projects, including drainage systems, stormwater management, and residential developments. Daily tasks will include planning, preparing technical drawings, conducting feasibility studies, and contributing to the preparation of reports and assessments. You will also assist with ensuring compliance with regulations and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and core engineering principles
* Knowledge of stormwater management techniques and drainage design
* Experience in planning processes and working collaboratively with Civil Engineers
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
* Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
* Proficient in using relevant software including Autocad, Flow, Site3D
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
* Understanding of local regulations and compliance standards, particularly in relation to Sections 104, 38, 278, and 185
* A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience or internship in a similar environment
