Job Title: Crane Engineer (Yard Based)
Location: Rushden – Yard Based (Occasional Site Call-Outs)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:30 / Friday 08:00–16:30
Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service), Pension, Occasional overtime available, Full training provided
Role summary
We have a fantastic opening for a Crane Engineer to join a well-established, reputable hire company based in Rushden. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in a supportive, close-knit team, where your contributions are valued, and full ongoing training is provided. The role is mostly yard-based, with occasional site call-outs.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on cranes.
* Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs.
* Work independently and as part of the service team.
* Support occasional site call-outs (company vehicle provided).
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.
Requirements
* Background in large plant or heavy equipment maintenance.
* Crane experience desirable but not essential (full training provided).
* Strong mechanical skills (approx. 70% of workload) with some electrical knowledge.
* Physically fit and confident working at height.
* Detail-oriented, independent, and safety-conscious.
* Full UK driving license.
