We are currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Clerk to support increasing customer demands based at our site located in Bellshill., In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory, purchasing, shipping, and related records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
* Compile and organise data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
* Monitor stock levels and identify when replenishment is required.
* Investigate damages, inventory discrepancies, and shrinkage issues. Occasional visits to the Coldstore may be needed-full PPE is provided. This is primarily an office-based role.
* Locate products to verify correct product IDs, perform regular cycle counts, and support full physical inventory checks.
* Review stock numbers, pallet IDs, approved substitutes, and other key information using catalogues, manuals, and product lists to ensure shipping order accuracy.
* Review inventory files to identify unused, excess, or damaged items and recommend appropriate disposition.
* Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company safety policies, standards, and procedures.
* Assist with new goods-in and goods-out booking requests via Outlook and, occasionally, by phone.
Previous experience of stock control
* Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable but not essential, a willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.
* Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages & Outlook.
* Excellent organisation and administration skills.
* Confident communicator both face to face and over the telephone
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
