Maintenance Mechanical Engineer
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £42,000 + Additional Call Out/Overtime Payments
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:00 am – 5:30 pm), with overtime opportunities and early shifts available. Call‑out duties on a rota basis (1 in 5 weeks), with additional mileage and call‑out payments.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a leading organisation in Stoke‑on‑Trent. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving automated process equipment within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities Include:
* Diagnosing and repairing faults on pumps, mixers, conveyor systems, packaging equipment, and general services.
* Performing mechanical tasks such as fitting, welding, dismantling/rebuilding, and parts replacement.
* Supporting reactive maintenance and contributing to the development of a Planned Preventative Maintenance system.
* Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and ensuring timely communication.
* Working collaboratively with production teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Participating in production meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
