Senior Sales Consultant, Mercer Wealth

1. Working as part of Mercer UK’s Wealth business, this is a challenging and demanding role, which will require the candidate to create sales opportunities from a combination of initiatives, some self-developed, others instigated by the wider business
2. You will have the ability to network effectively, being adept at building and developing relationships from new contacts and develop your own opportunities from cold prospects
3. You will distil complex ideas from the UK business into solutions for prospects

We will count on you to:
7. Create and manage client prospect pipeline to ensure a sufficient level of sales opportunities to deliver required revenue for Defined Benefit (DB) wealth business
8. Create opportunities from company-sponsored events (seminars, workshops, trustee clubs social media campaigns etc.)
9. Devise, plan and set strategy for sales related activities
10. Undertake initial “first” meetings with prospects
11. Convert prospect meetings into sales opportunities
12. Manage and develop the relationship with prospect
13. Lead and own client project and relationship from post sales to on-going delivery
14. Maintain knowledge and awareness of industry developments with a focus on DB issues
15. Support the team in the delivery of projects
16. Interact effectively with Bid, Proposition and marketing team to maximise successful sales
What you need to have:
17. Proven sales experience within Financial or Professional Services
18. A consultative sales approach
19. Proven ability to develop and initiate strategies for revenue and client account growth
20. Strong understanding of sales and business acumen
21. Build, maintain, and effectively manage a sales pipeline
22. Accurately forecast sales results
