As a member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of our OPM, Fife Council People Plan & Workforce Strategy 2025- 2028, and actively role model the values of our How We Work Matters framework. You will provide consultancy support for corporate and directorate initiatives, design and facilitate leadership development, support people centred change and use your skills to navigate the complexities of improving team dynamics.
You will manage and lead OD and People Development projects, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and desired organisational culture. In a fast paced, emerging, data driven environment this role requires resilience, high self-awareness and the ability to adapt.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead OD & People Development Projects: Manage all stages of project management from initiation to evaluation, ensuring projects meet/ deliver individual, team, service/ directorate business needs.
2. Coaching & Mentoring: Role model a coach approach across a range of teams and services to support individual, team and leadership improvement.
3. Leadership Development: Design, deliver and evaluate the impact of multi-level organisational leadership development.
Essential Criteria:
4. Project Management Skills: Ability to manage conflicting demands and determine creative solutions.
5. Relationship Management Skills: Strong self-awareness along with people and organisational awareness and the ability to engage to achieve collaborative results.
6. IT Skills: Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
7. Professional Expertise: Extensive knowledge and experience across a wide range of OD, Leadership Development and people centred Change Support activities at an organisational level.
8. Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent.
9. People Skills: Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and positively influence others.
Desirable Criteria:
10. Experience of Coaching & Mentoring - a recognised Coaching qualification/ accreditation is desirable.
11. Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating leadership development.
12. Experience in using inquiry processes, using consultancy approach, improving performance via OD interventions.
13. Experience in utilising data and information to inform progress and improvement.
14. Proven ability to inspire staff and achieve results.
