Job Description
We are pleased to invite applications for a Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Interventions Service, supporting children and young people in York.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage caseload to form strong relationships with children, young people and their families.
* Support children with child in need plans, children subject to child protection plans and those involved in care proceedings.
* Produce clear, analytical and coherent reports and assess need, writing children’s plans.
* Ensure timescales are met in a high challenge and high support environment.
* Work independently within conflicting priorities.
* Regular one‑to‑one and peer group supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced Social Workers with background in social care settings.
* Demonstrated strong skills in assessment, safeguarding and relationship‑based practice.
* Experience in statutory or non‑statutory services.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, CEFR C1 level English.
* Able to work independently, manage conflicting priorities and deliver within timescales.
* Enhanced Criminal Record check via DBS.
