Planning Lead Hampshire (Hybrid / Regional Travel) Permanent Up to £90,000 car allowance, bonus & benefits A major joint venture delivering a high-profile £1bn AMP8 capital programme is looking to appoint a Planning Lead to support the strategic delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes across the South and South East. This is a key role within the project leadership team, responsible for integrating multi-disciplinary project schedules and ensuring robust programme controls across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. As Planning Lead, you will manage a team of planners and oversee programme-level reporting, risk analysis, and change control in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Act as Planning Lead across a multi-year water infrastructure programme, ensuring alignment across all project phases Recruit, lead, and mentor the planning team to deliver accurate and insightful schedules Establish systems and procedures to support planning across the framework and supply chain Report on programme status including risk, earned value, and change management metrics Provide critical path analysis and strategic insight to senior stakeholders, helping to identify opportunities and mitigate delivery risks Requirements Extensive planning experience on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure programmes Background in water sector or major infrastructure environments preferred Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 with the ability to manage cost- and resource-loaded schedules Strong understanding of NEC contracts and experience working under collaborative delivery models Skilled in multi-project integration, baseline control, and reporting across complex portfolios Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership abilities Ability to operate as a senior advisor and Planning Lead across programme and client teams Desirable Experience leading planning for AMP frameworks or major utilities Proven track record in a Planning Lead or Senior Planner role within a Tier 1 contractor or client-side environment Familiarity with project controls, risk, cost, and change management systems Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Planning Lead to take ownership of the programme planning function within one of the UKs most significant water infrastructure frameworks.
