Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at a well-established engineering firm based in East Kilbride. This role involves operating a variety of machine tools, with a particular focus on conventional horizontal boring. Machine Operator Job Requirements
Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role
Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical detail drawings
Skilled in operating various machine tools (e.g., lathe, milling, drilling)Advantageous experience includes:
Use of "Kerns Richard SH75" or similar boring machine
Counterbalance forklift licence
Overhead crane operation
Awareness of safe working practices in a machine shop environment
Machine Operator Salary & Benefits
39 hours per week. 06:00-14:30 (Mon-Thurs), 06:00-13:30 (Fri)
£17.50-£18.50 an hour dependant on experience
