Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our client's Bakery team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of food products, adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Working: Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 10pm
Duties
* Operate and monitor various food production machinery, ensuring smooth and efficient operation
* Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any malfunctions or safety hazards
* Maintain accurate records of production outputs, machine maintenance, and quality checks
* Follow strict food safety protocols, including HACCP guidelines, to ensure product integrity
* Assist with the setup and changeover of machinery during shift transitions
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with hygiene standards
* Support quality control processes by inspecting products for consistency and defects
Skills
* Experience in food production environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
* Mechanical knowledge to understand and operate production equipment effectively
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues promptly
